Join our Youth & Family Committee
The Township has an opening on the Youth & Family Services Committee that meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6PM. The Board relies on River Forest resident volunteers to evaluate programming. September is Suicide Prevention Month
Pick up a free 988 Suicide and Crisis Yard Sign (in English and Spanish) at River Forest Township’s office (8020 Madison St) during our office hours.
The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources.

Assessor Services
We are available to help with your property tax inquiries, including exemptions and appeals.

Senior & Disability Services
We provide a full array of services to older adults and individuals with disabilities, such as meals, transportation, care management, information/referral, as well as various support programs and educational events.

Youth & Family Services
We contract with local agencies to provide an array of educational, mentoring, recreational, and financial assistance programs to support our youth, in addition to offering our own Youth Engagement Program.

Mental Health & I/DD Services
We support residents with mental health needs, developmental disabilities, and substance use issues, through our own programs and those of the agencies we fund.

Resident Assistance Services
We offer a variety of services including general assistance, emergency assistance, access to a notary, medical equipment lending library, voter registration and referrals to non-profits and government entities near River Forest.
